Governor DeSantis says no property taxes. The legislature says cut sales tax. Here’s the compromise: No property taxes for people over 65. Sales tax rebates for everyone. Save your receipts, at the end of the year you’ll get 20% of your sales tax expenditures back. For example, spend $10,000 on sales tax get $2,000 back. A nice surprise in January every year.
